DA's forensic team investigating house fire in West Reading

WEST READING, Pa. - The Berks County district attorney's forensic services unit has been called in to investigate a suspicious fire in West Reading.

Firefighters were dispatched around 6:40 a.m. Tuesday to 429 Pine St.

Fire officials on the scene declined to release any information about the fire or the nature of the DA's investigation. They referred all questions to county investigators, who could provide no immediate information.

West Reading police Chief Stephen Powell confirmed for 69 News that the fire is deemed suspicious and that no one was injured.
