Drugs, weapons seized during construction zone traffic stop

RICHMOND TWP., Pa. - The driver of a car caught speeding through a work zone in Berks County is now facing drug and gun charges.

Jason Moyer, 35, of Kutztown, was pulled over Monday for speeding through the roundabout construction zone at Routes 222 and 662 in Richmond Township, police said.

An officer searched Moyer's car and found methamphetamine, a handgun and a knife, according to court documents released Tuesday.

Moyer is facing a number of charges, including reckless endangerment and carrying a gun without a license. He's free on $25,000 bail.
