Ducklings rescued from storm drain

SPRING TWP., Pa. - First responders helped some ducklings after they got stuck in a tight spot in Spring Township.

Crews were called out Monday night to Broadcasting Road near Commerce Drive after the ducklings got stuck in a storm drain.

A firefighter went down into the drain and was able to scoop the babies out with a net.

The man who called for help, Gary Boyer, pulled his car over after he noticed the ducks' mother pacing around the grate.

"I've heard of baby ducks falling down grates already, so I figured I'll stop and see what's going on. Sure enough her baby ducks had fallen down the grate," Boyer said.

The ducks were reunited with their mother who was waiting patiently nearby during the rescue.

They all swam off together.
