Eagles top rival Blazers on home floor

Exeter knocks off rival Boone in Berks I opener

REIFFTON - The Exeter boys defeated rival Daniel Boone, 53-42, on Friday night in a Berks I showdown in Reiffton.

Mike Menet, who was named All-State in football this week, paced the Eagles (1-0, 4-1) with 15 points. Taylor Trojanowski and Daniel Garcia each added 10 points for Exeter who, like their girls team, have defied some early season expectations with the fast start.

The Blazers (0-1, 3-2) got 15 points for Paul Galanti. Keyon McCutchen poured in 11 for Boone as well.

Exeter hosts Governor Mifflin on Monday. Daniel Boone will also be in action Monday, taking on Phoenixville.
