East falls to West at Eastern League All-Star Game

NEW BRITAIN - The West blanked the East, 5-0, at the Eastern League All-Star Game in New Britain, CT on Wednesday night. The Reading Fightin Phils had four players on the East squad.

Albert Cartwright went 1-2 with a double, while Reading teammate Jim Murphy went 0-2.

Seth Rosin tossed a scoreless inning. Jesse Biddle did not play, presumably to save his arm for next week's MLB Futures Game.

The Fightin Phils will begin the second half of their season Thursday night against New Hampshire at FirstEnergy Stadium.
