Erie uses late surge to top Fightin Phils

READING - David Buchanan was sharp for 6 innings, but Erie erupted for 7 runs in the 7th inning to run away with a 9-1 victory Monday night at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Buchanan was leading 1-0 and carrying a shutout into the 7th before the SeaWolves put up 7 runs in the frame, 6 of those charged to the righty. They also scored one run in each of the final two innings to blow the game open.

Tyler Henson registered the lone RBI for the Fightin Phils, an RBI-single in the 4th.

This series will continue on Tuesday night ay 7:05 in Baseballtown.
