Father pleads no contest to giving son guns used to kill deputy

A man accused of giving guns to a convicted felon who eventually shot and killed a Berks County sheriff's deputy has pleaded no contest.

Maurice Connor entered the plea to a weapons charge Wednesday.

Authorities say he gave guns to his son Matthew Connor, who shot and killed sheriff's deputy Kyle Pagerly in 2011.

Jared Engelman is also accused of giving guns to Matthew Connor.

He's due in court Thursday.

Maurice Connor will be sentenced in May.
