Feds say PA must shift kids to Medicaid

Governor Corbett has his answer to a health care question that affects thousands of Pennsylvania children.

And it's not the answer he wanted.

The federal government says Pennsylvania must shift tens of thousands of children from the state's CHIP health insurance program to Medicaid.

The requirement under the new health insurance law takes effect January 1st.

Governor Corbett had argued that the switch would cause disruptions.

But the feds says it'll simplify coverage for families.
