Portland shuts down Reading again

READING - For the second straight night, the Portland Sea Dogs defeated the Reading Fightin Phils at FirstEnergy Stadium. Reading's offense struggled again in the 4-1 loss.

The Fightins scored their only run in the third inning. Kelly Dugan singled and Cam Perkins scored thanks to a Portland throwing error.

Phillies top-10 prospect Severino Gonzalez started for the Fightin Phils, allowing one run over five innings. He got a no-decision.

Reading looks for its first win of the season Saturday night against Portland.
