Fire at Union Twp. fireworks company ruled arson

UNION TWP., Pa. - State police in Berks County have released more details in a fireworks explosion and fire.

Investigators now say a fire at a fireworks company in Union Township was a case of arson.

The fire broke out May 10 at International Fireworks in the 300 block of Shed Road.

Two trailers storing fireworks went up in flames. The explosions could be heard from a mile away.

State police said two brush fires were also reported nearby on different days. Officials said all three of the fires appear to have been intentionally set.

Police have not yet announced any charges in any of these fires. They say the investigation is ongoing.
