SHILLINGTON, Pa. - A two-alarm fire damaged a duplex in Berks County.

Initial reports indicated the fire started around 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of a water heater in the basement of a home in the first block of South Miller Street in Shillington.

The response forced crews to close part of nearby Lancaster Avenue.

Members of one family were able to return to their home; another family will have to stay with relatives, fire officials said.

No one was hurt.
