Fleetwood girls focused on Radnor in PIAA opener

Tigers in state tournament for first time since 1979

Fleetwood girls excited to be back in PIAA tournament

FLEETWOOD - While wrestling is just one day away from crowning champions, basketball begins its hunt for the crown Friday. The Fleetwood girls are among the competitors in the state's 3-A bracket.

The Tigers will travel to Plymouth-Whitemarsh Saturday afternoon for a date with Radnor in a first round game.

It's a tall order for the Tigers. Radnor is the District I champion.

But Fleetwood is battle-tested this year, earning the 4th seed out of District 3.

This is the Tigers first trip to states since the late 70's. Led by a core group of seniors, they are highly motivated to make sure it is not a one-and-done experience.
