Former Berks priest, teacher sentenced in child porn case

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A priest who once worked at a Catholic school in Reading has been sentenced for his role in a child pornography case.

John Mraz was ordered Thursday to serve between six and 23 months behind bars.

Mraz was arrested last year, when investigators said they discovered numerous files of child pornography on his laptop computers.

At the time, Mraz was working as a pastor at St. Ann's Church in Emmaus, Lehigh County. He used to teach at the former Reading Central Catholic High School.
