Former pro-wrestler, car dealer charged in $350K fraud case

James Eshbach free on $100,000 unsecured bail

READING, Pa. - A onetime professional wrestler and owner of a car dealership in Berks County has surrendered to authorities on criminal charges.

James Eschbach stands accused of bilking investors out of more than $350,000.

Police said Eschbach promised to use the investors' money to buy cars and resell them for a profit at Jimmy Deo's Auto Sales. Investigators said Eschbach did not pay any of the money back.

Eschbach, who used to wrestle under the name "Jimmy Deo," was arraigned Thursday night on felony charges of theft by deception, receiving stolen property, and deceptive business practices. He was freed on $100,000 unsecured bail.
