Free clinic helps amputees get back on golf course

MAXATAWNY TWP., Pa. - A special clinic is helping amputees get back on the golf course. They learned tips and pointers at the fifth annual National Amputee Golf Clinic at Sittler Golf Center near Kutztown.

Organizers said some of the attendees have been playing golf for years, and others have never even hit a golf ball.

"And once they do, you see that smile on their face. It encourages them to try other things that they may have been afraid to try," said Rick Kline, owner, Sitler Golf Center.

The annual event is free for anyone who has a disability and for family members.
