Golf outing raises money for Gilmore Henne Foundation

BERN TWP., Pa. - Two NFL stars from Berks County hit the links with 170 other people Friday afternoon.

The golf outing at Berkshire Country Club in Bern Township raised money for the Gilmore-Henne Foundation.

The money will be used to fix and build parks, and establish park programs.

"We're building a fully adaptive playground at the Opportunity House on June 23 for disabled body kids and able body kids and kids with autism," said John Gilmore. "There aren't too many parks like it in Berks County."

The foundation is also planning to upgrade a playground in the West Lawn area.
