Governor Mifflin, Daniel Boone playing well in 2nd half

Mustangs, Blazers playing well late in season

BERKS COUNTY - The Governor Mifflin and Daniel Boone football teams are playing their best football down the stretch as both the Mustangs and Blazers eye a postseason berth.

Governor Mifflin (6-0, 7-2) has won six straight games and has allowed all of seven points in the month of October.

The Mustangs will wrap up the regular season at Conrad Weiser on Friday.

Even though Mifflin has already locked up the Section I championship, they see no reason to discount this weekend's game. The Mustangs are looking to seal a home District III playoff a game. A big win over the Scouts could clinch just that.

Daniel Boone (3-3, 4-5) has won three of its last four games. The Blazers find themselves in the District III tournament as of now, but they'll need a big win over rival Exeter on Friday.

Boone's signature win came last week on the road at Muhlenberg. While that victory has given the team even more confidence, they know they need to top the Eagles in order for their season to continue.

Mifflin/Weiser and Boone/Exeter will be featured on the Big Ticket.
