Grant used to make Reading playground a wi-fi 'hot spot'

A playground in Reading is going high-tech.

Barbey's Playground is now a wi-fi hot spot.

The Gilmore-Henne Community Fund is using a grant to provide wireless internet at the playground. It's part of an effort aimed at increasing broadband access in urban and rural communities.

The grant will provide free wi-fi for one year. After that, the Gilmore-Henne Community Fund will maintain the service.
