Hawks edge Saints in another thriller

Hamburg defeats BC in extra frames

Cominsky leads Hawks past Berks Catholic

READING - At Berks Catholic, Hamburg (7-1, 14-2) prevailed with a 9-6 win over the Saints (5-3, 10-6) in 9 innings on Monday. It was the second time this season the contest between these two was tightly competitive. Hamburg has won both times.

Hawks' standout Joey Cominsky finished a home run shy of the cycle. He also drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the 9th inning.

The victory secures a playoff spot for Hamburg, as they inch closer to clinching Berks II.

Hamburg visits Conrad Weiser on Wednesday. BC plays at Twin Valley that same afternoon.
