Homeowners jump to action after truck slams into their house

BRECKNOCK TWP., Pa. - Homeowners in Brecknock Township jumped into action Tuesday night after a pick-up truck slammed into their house.

It happened around 8:30 in the 700 block of Alleghenyville Road.

The people who live there were outside at the time of the crash and rushed to pull the driver out after the truck started smoking.

"He was just happy to be alive and that nobody else got hurt, and I feel the same way. We can always replace the house but we can't replace a life," Karl Peterson said.

There's no word on what led to the crash.

We're told the driver was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay.
