Humane Society asks for help to fill empty shelves

READING, Pa. - The Humane Society of Berks County is asking for help to fill its empty shelves.

The shelter said it's completely out of wet dog food, which it gives to dogs with teeth issues or as a treat.

The Humane Society said donations can be dropped off at the shelter on North 11th Street in Reading, or they can be shipped using the Humane Society's wish list on Amazon.

The Humane Society is also holding a donation drive through the month of July. The shelter said it will collect dog and cat food, litter, cleaning products, and office supplies at drop-off boxes across the region.

Donations can also be dropped off at the Humane Society of Berks County at 1801 North 11th Street in Reading or at the Humane League of Lancaster County at 2195 Lincoln Highway.
