Vehicles collide in Alsace; driver freed from wreckage

ALSACE TWP., Pa. - Three people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a violent collision in Berks County.

The crash, involving three vehicles, happened shortly before 3 p.m. on Pricetown Road, near Elizabeth Avenue, in Alsace Township.

One of the vehicles was turning left from Pricetown Road onto Hillview Road when it was struck from behind by another vehicle and pushed into the path of an oncoming vehicle, officials said.

Rescue crews had to cut apart the striking vehicle to free the driver trapped inside, according to a 69 News crew on the scene.

All three victims were transported to the hospital with what officials described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Pricetown Road was closed in both directions while crews worked to remove the wreckage.
