'It's the Wild West out here,' Reading man says following shooting

Reading shooting

READING, Pa. - Residents in one Reading neighborhood are on edge after a man was shot in the neck.

It happened at around 9 p.m. Friday in the 1000 block of Penn Street.

Police are looking for three men who were seen running after the shooting.

The victim was taken to hospital. His injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

But, the shooting has rattled residents.

"When I moved here, I thought it was decent neighborhood. Now, I'm moving," J.C. Cook said. "Trust me, I want to get the hell out of here as fast as I can."

One couple who used to live in New York says it's worse in Reading.

"It's horrible. There's always something going on around here. It's just ridiculous. It's the wild west out here. It's ridiculous," Albert Rively said.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Reading police.
