Golden Bears anxious to begin season

KUTZTOWN - The Kutztown University football team begins its season at Clarion on Saturday. The Golden Bears can't wait to begin their first year under head coach Drew Folmar.

Kutztown has started to get jumpy at practice this week, knowing the opportunity to hit  players in a different uniform is just days away.

The team has a much different look this year, having lost many familiar faces. For starters, Folmar replaces Ray Monica, who left KU for a head coaching job at Arkansas Tech. Record-setting quarterback Kevin Morton is no longer with the team either, having graduated. Freshman Alec Werner will be the starting signal caller.

Saturday's game is scheduled for a 1:00 kick-off.
