Kutztown splits double-header on hardwood

KUTZTOWN - The Kutztown University men's and women's basketball teams split a double-header with Wilmington and University of the Sciences on Wednesday night at Keystone Arena. It was the home-opener for both teams.

The KU men fell to an athletic Wilmington squad, 76-70, in the late game. Kutztown's Tracy Peal led all scorers with 20 points.

But led by Herbert Dennis' 19 points, Wilmington escaped with the 6-point win.

In the first game, the Golden Bear women tallied a 52-50 victory over University of the Sciences.

KU's Advia Campbell tied for a game-high with 15 points to lead the way.
