KU sweeps Shippensburg, pushes win streak to 10

Kutztown sweeps twin bill with Shippensburg

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Kutztown University baseball team has hit the ground running this season. The Golden Bears swept a double-header with Shippensburg (4-3 game one, 6-5 game two) on Friday afternoon at North Campus Field to extend their winning streak to ten games. KU is 16-4 overall and a perfect 6-0 in the PSAC.

In game one, Brett Hauck went 4-4 to set the table for the Golden Bears. Matt Albaugh and Carson Baker each registered RBIs.

In game two, Ricky Gorrell singled to center to score Thomas Romano in the bottom of the seventh inning, giving KU a walk-off victory.

These two will wrap up their series on Saturday in Kutztown with a double-header beginning at 1:00.
