MAXATAWNY TWP., Pa. - Big things are planned for the next 20 years at Kutztown University.
The university unveiled Tuesday its updated master plan for the 289-acre campus in Berks County.
The most immediate plans call for refurbishing the business school and the dining halls.
Officials said the master plan is important because it lets the state know what the school wants to do and what kind of funding will be needed.
"If we don't have a plan, then you know you just kind of do haphazard development, and we don't want to do that," said Jeff Grimm, asst. vice president for facilities. "And especially with the economy and the budget being so tight, we want to make sure that we spend money on the priorities of the university and the students."
The plans will be on display again on Dec. 11 at 4 p.m. Feedback is welcome.
