KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Kutztown University is set to welcome the class of 2017.
Approximately 1,900 freshmen will move in to the campus residence halls on Saturday. They'll be assisted by student, faculty and staff volunteers.
The university issued an advisory earlier this week for motorists to be aware of traffic congestion on roads on and around campus, including Route 222.
The new students represent 14 states, with the majority coming to KU from Pennsylvania. New Jersey, New York, Maryland and Delaware.
The class of 2017 will be officially welcomed to Kutztown by Javier Cevallos, university president, as well as by representatives of the faculty, student body and alumni, during a freshman convocation on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Keystone Arena.
Upperclassmen returned to campus Aug. 22 and 23.
Classes for everyone will begin Monday.
