La Salle knocks off Spring-Ford in PIAA semis

ASTON, Pa. - Behind Dom Cuoci, La Salle College High School blanked Spring-Ford, 3-0, on Monday at Neumann University to earn a spot in the PIAA-AAAA baseball championship game at State College.

Cuoci pitched a complete game shutout, allowing just two hits while striking out nine.

The St. Joseph's commit also notched an infield RBI-single. Nick Dermo and Brian Buckley added RBI-singles for the Explorers. They will meet Conestoga for the state championship on Friday at Penn State.

Spring-Ford starter Bret Clarke matched Cuoci until the 6th inning. He had a no-hitter through four innings, but the Rams could not get him any support.
