Cliff Lee to start for Clearwater on Sunday

Lee to make rehab start in Florida

Cliff Lee is set to make a minor league rehab start Sunday in Florida. Veteran pitcher Chris Bootcheck has been received by Reading, while Fightin Phils' lefty Ryan Demmin has announced his retirement.

Lee will start for Clearwater in his first competitive game since going on the DL with a strained elbow May 20th.

He is expected to throw up to 75 pitches. It is not clear whether Lee will make another rehab appearance.

Bootcheck has struggled since his arrival to Lehigh Valley as the Phillies continue to search for pitching depth in their system.
