Local group celebrates 24th anniversary of Americans with Disabilities Act

READING, Pa. - Abilities in Motion celebrated the 24th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act in Reading on Friday.

The act was signed into law in 1990, prohibiting discrimination based on disability.

In celebration of the anniversary, some walked and others rode from Seventh and Franklin streets to the Berks County Services Center in center city, where local officials discussed the importance of the act.
