Maidencreek man charged in sexual assault of coworker

Victim feared she would be killed, police say

FLEETWOOD, Pa. - A Berks County man stands accused of sexually assaulting a fellow employee on the job in Fleetwood earlier this month.

Mario Guevara is facing a number of felony and misdemeanor sex assault charges, including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, harassment, and stalking, according to borough police.

The crime happened at a warehouse on East Locust Street in Fleetwood on October 6 when, police said, Guevara locked himself with the woman inside a bathroom, took off her clothes, and forcibly assaulted her.

The woman, fearing she would be killed, eventually managed to get away, according to court documents.

Guevara, 61, of Maidencreek Township, was arrested and arraigned early Saturday. Bail was set at $150,000.
