Man admits to vandalizing former chemical plant in Saint Lawrence

SAINT LAWRENCE, Pa. - An Exeter Township man has admitted to vandalizing a former chemical plant in Saint Lawrence.

Ryan Masternak, 23, and two juveniles, were busted Thursday afternoon at the Saint Lawrence Carbonizing Plant on Parkview Road.

The juveniles are not being identified.

Masternak admitted he and the minors had broken windows at the plant and dumped chemicals, including sulfuric acid, on the floor, police said.

The damage is estimated at several thousand dollars.

Masternak was charged with burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief and committed to the Berks County Jail on $7,500 bail.
