Man arrested for Reading pizza shop armed robbery

Mordie Baskerville facing numerous charges

READING, Pa. - A Reading man is in jail after police said he robbed a city pizza place early Wednesday morning.

Mordie A. Baskerville III, 24, was charged with robbery, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, aggravated assault, possession of weapon and related charges.

The pizza place is Frank's Trattoria in the 400 block of Lehigh Street.

One of the pizza delivery drivers recognized Baskerville when he entered the pizza shop, although he was wearing a mask, and initially thought it was a joke -- until he began threatening them with a gun. Another recognized his voice.

Baskerville apparently removed $328 from the cash drawer and also robbed some of the drivers of their tips. He took $40 from one man and $65 from another.

Police recovered the money when Baskerville was arrested.
