Man charged with murder in shooting outside McDonald's

READING, Pa. - Authorities have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of a man outside a McDonald's in Reading last week.

Jonathan David Roman-Hernandez, 18, was charged Friday with first-, and third-degree murder in the killing of Christopher Cuevas on the restaurant's parking lot at North Ninth and Spring streets on June 6.

Another man was wounded but later released from Reading Hospital.

Officials said they managed to identify the suspect through a review of surveillance footage from the scene and interviews with witnesses.

In addition to murder, Roman-Hernandez was also charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, possessing an instrument of a crime, and firearms not to be carried without a license.
