Man dies weeks after crash in Longswamp

Nicholas Barlet, 29, died Wednesday

LONGSWAMP TWP., Pa. - A Berks County man has died weeks after he crashed his car.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on Friday, May 5, in the 700 block of Woodside Avenue in Longswamp Township.

Nicholas Barlet's vehicle left the road, "struck multiple fixed objects" and rolled over, according to the Lehigh County coroner. Balet was ejected from the vehicle and seriously injured.

Barlet, 29, of Mertztown, was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown, where he died Wednesday night.

The coroner attributed his death to "complications of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident" and ruled his death an accident.
