Man killed when car hits tree near Robesonia

NORTH HEIDELBERG TWP., Pa. - Speed may have been a factor in a crash that killed a man in Berks County on Monday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The victim was driving south on North Heidelberg Road in North Heidelberg Township, near Robesonia, shortly after 1 p.m., when his car went off the road and hit a tree on the opposite side, police said.

The 25-year-old driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene, police said. His name has not yet been released.
