The incident happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. on July 8 at the Walmart store on Allentown Pike in Muhlenberg Township.

The man, police said, approached a member of the store's management team, verbally threatened him and then opened a zippered pouch and displayed the handle of a pistol.

The man then got into a light blue minivan and fled the area, police said.
