Man wanted for burglary in Maryland arrested in Muhlenberg Township

MUHLENBERG TWP., Pa. - A man wanted by state police in Maryland has been arrested in Berks County.

U.S. Marshals apprehended Daniel Crook around 3:30 p.m. Monday as he walked near the Turkey Hill convenience store at Kutztown Road and Madison Street in Muhlenberg Township.

Crook, 26, was living nearby in an apartment on Raymond Street with his girlfriend, officials said.

Crook admitted to authorities that he was wanted by police in Maryland on a burglary charge, according to court documents.

Crook was committed to the Berks County Jail on $125,000 bail pending his extradition to Maryland.
