Man wounded by gunfire inside bar in Reading

Shooting does not appear to be random, police say

READING, Pa. - Police are trying to piece together clues in the case of a man who was shot inside a bar in east Reading.

RPD officers responded around 3:30 a.m. Sunday to the Coachlight Tavern at South 19th and Cotton streets for the report of a man who had been shot.

They arrived to find the 35-year-old victim inside the bar. He was transported to the hospital for treatment, but police provided no information about the extent of his injury.

Investigators have also not identified the shooter or a motive for the attack, but they did say that it does nto appear to be a random crime.
