Missing man with Alzheimer's disease found dead in Berks County

CENTRE TWP., Pa. - A Berks County man with Alzheimer's disease who had been missing for more than a week was found dead Saturday.

Richard Jordan's body was found around 11:15 a.m.., about 100 yards from his home in the 1300 block of Garfield Road in Centre Township, according to State Police.

The 77-year-old Jordan was found after a large search party consisting of community members and police gathered earlier in the day.

Jordan had been missing since he left his home during a snowstorm on the morning of Thurs., Feb. 13.

Police said Jordan was found partially covered by snow between two evergreen trees.

"There were no signs of foul play nor is foul play suspected," State Police said in a news release.
