Mr. Softee truck carjacked

READING, Pa. - Police in Reading are trying to find the person responsible for carjacking a Mister Softee ice cream truck.

It happened Friday afternoon when a man jumped into a Mister Softee ice cream truck and held the driver at knife-point, police said.

The robber made the driver take him to another area, where he grabbed cash and jumped out of the truck near the 1200 block of Greenwich Street, police said.

The driver was uninjured.

Anyone with information is asked to call Reading police or Crime Alert Berks County at 877-373-9913. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
