Motorcyclist killed in crash in southwest Reading

READING, Pa. - A Reading man was killed when he crashed his motorcycle in the city's Oakbrook section late Monday morning, police said.

The accident was reported around 11:40 a.m. in the area of Brookline Plaza and Clifton Avenue.

The motorcyclist, police said, was going too fast when he lost control of his bike and hit a curb.

The victim, identified by the coroner as Luis Alberto Rivera-Lopez, 55, was rushed to Reading Hospital, but we're told he died a short time later. He was not wearing a helmet, police said.
