Natural gas conversion plant given conditional approval

SOUTH HEIDELBERG TWP., Pa. - A possible natural gas conversion plant is taking a step forward in South Heidelberg Township.

Township supervisors voted in favor of giving the plant conditional approval Tuesday night.

Officials with the EmberClear Corporation say the billion dollar facility would convert natural gas into gasoline.

The plant would be located on a 63 acre site on Krick Lane.

Officials say the next step is to see how the plant would impact the area.

Company officials say they're aiming to start construction next year, and that the project would bring over 100 jobs to the area.
