Oley Valley and Tulpehocken boys soccer play to draw

Lynx and Trojans play to 2-2 draw

NEW SCHAEFFERSTOWN - The Oley Valley and Tulpehocken boys soccer teams played to a 2-2 draw in New Schaefferstown on Thursday night. The Lynx and Trojans are two of the top three contenders in Berks III.

Dwayne Bryant got the Trojans on the board 15 minutes into the first half on an outstanding volley shot off a cross from Kevin Berry.

But the Lynx tied it up later in the half. With 12 minutes left, Marcus Frangakis put away Ben Meier's corner kick to even things up at 1.

30 seconds later though, Tulpehocken regained the lead. Robert Ekvall picked off an errant header in front of the goal, and scored on an open net to give the Trojans a 2-1 lead at halftime.

Midway through the second half, the Lynx knotted things up again following a Gabe Duran blast into the corner netting.

The goal tied the game 2 and that's how it would stay through a pair of overtime periods. Oley Valley keeper Ryan Krall made back-to-back game-saving stops in overtime to preserve the tie for the Lynx.
