The two-vehicle accident happened around 12:15 p.m. near Schappell Road in Windsor Township, just south of Hamburg.

One of the cars crossed the southbound lanes of Route 61 from the shoulder in an attempt to enter the northbound lanes when it collided with a northbound vehicle, according to state police.

No one was injured in the crash, which scattered debris onto the highway.

A Google Street View image of the scene before the crash shows there had been three mailboxes and two newspaper boxes there. Only one, now leaning, remained standing after the crash.

Crews worked about an hour to remove the overturned car and clean up the mess.

Police said the driver who caused the crash will be cited for multiple traffic violations.
