Pair accused of dealing meth in Berks; stolen guns seized

READING, Pa. - Two men have been arrested on drugs charges in connection with the sale of methamphetamine in Berks County.

Detectives with the Berks County district attorney's office said they began their investigation of Shan Christopher Haynes-Ali and Geraldo Carlos Gregory in June.

During the course of that investigation, Gregory sold significant amounts of meth to an undercover officer several times, officials said. He was arrested immediately following the last transaction in Spring Township on August 21.

Haynes-Ali, who was with Gregory at the time of his arrest, was interviewed and then released until his arrest on Thursday, officials said.

Detectives said they also searched Haynes-Ali's home in the 400 block of Fern Avenue in Reading, where they seized $15,000 worth of bulk methamphetamine, three semiautomatic handguns, a substantial amount of ammunition, more than $6,700 in cash, and a variety of drug paraphernalia.

Two of the three guns were reported stolen, one from Muhlenberg Township, the other from Scranton, officials said.

Haynes-Ali, 29, and Gregory, 29, of West Lawn, were charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, delivery of methamphetamine, criminal conspiracy, and receiving stolen property. They were committed to the Berks County Jail.
