Patterson leads Alvernia baseball to win over TCNJ

Lutz records win number 699 with 9-4 win over TCNJ

READING, Pa. - Matt Patterson went 4-4 with four RBIs to lead the Alvernia baseball team (12-6) to a 9-4 win over The College of New Jersey (6-8) on Wednesday afternoon at Angelica Park.

The Crusaders trailed 4-2 entering the bottom of the fifth, but a five-run outburst in the frame gave Alvernia the lead for good.

The victory was also number 699 for Alvernia head coach Yogi Lutz. He can reach number 700 on Thursday against Commonwealth Conference foe Widener.
