READING, Pa. - Emergency responders are helping a person hit by a vehicle on a busy Berks County street.

Around 10:40am Tuesday a person was hit by a car on North 3rd Street between Penn and Court Streets -- that's near the inter-city bus terminal.

The driver was a college man, our 69 News crew on scene reports.  The driver said the pedestrian, also a man, "came out of nowhere."

The pedestrian rolled onto the front of the vehicle and onto the windshield, cracking it..

The pedestrian was hurt but conscious when he was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
