Police: Blandon man high on mushrooms stabs woman, kills rabbit

BLANDON, Pa. - Police say a Berks County man who was high on mushrooms stabbed a woman with scissors, then killed her pet rabbit.

Corey Behm, 26, of Blandon, has been charged with aggravated assault, animal cruelty, resisting arrest, simple assault and reckless endangerment.

Police say Behm stabbed Rebecca Funk with scissors on Tuesday, February 25th at a home on Herb Road in Muhlenberg Township.

Funk was treated for non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say Behm also killed Funk's pet rabbit, and fought with officers when they responded to the scene.

Police say Behm later admitted to consuming hallucinogenic mushrooms and assaulting Funk and the rabbit.

He's being held in Berks County jail on $60,000 bail.
